We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Accountant to join our team. In this key role, you will take ownership of essential accounting functions, support financial reporting, and help drive the organization's operational and financial success. This position is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in accounting processes and compliance, who is eager to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage month-end close processes, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable oversight, and fixed asset accounting.
Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and produce financial and operational reports.
Perform in-depth financial analysis to provide actionable insights that support decision-making.
Collaborate on process documentation, process improvements, and system enhancements.
Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for annual audits.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and treat confidential information with care.
Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (required).
CPA certification (preferred).
3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, month-end close processes, and financial statement preparation.
Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting standards.
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as PeopleSoft or Oracle (preferred).
Experience in the healthcare or hospice industry (a plus).
