Type: full-time

Job Description:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Project Manager to help take our small, but mighty, business to the next level. Our ideal candidate will have managed projects in the CPG sector (i.e., food, pet, home goods, packaging), and have experience working with overseas sourcing teams. As the Product Project Manager, you will be treated as a client partner and take a jack-of-all-trades role. You will oversee the entire product development and sourcing process, including concept creation, design, price negotiation, sampling, production management, quality control, and logistics with the oversight of the Director of Operations and our leadership team. Simply said, you will never be bored.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be in charge of driving progress across various aspects of the business, from sampling to vendor negotiation to managing company documents. You will also work on a wide variety of CPG projects and interesting products in a fast-paced environment. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing orders from order placement until the product is in the client's hands. This includes verifying pricing, following up with manufacturers, tracking orders through delivery and being able to think quickly when creative solutions are needed.
  • Working with freelance artists and engineers based all over the world.
  • Placing and following up on sample orders, project specifications and client requests.
  • Providing self-directed client contact in a collaborative and professional manner.
  • Occasionally building creative decks for client's needs, leveraging our designers when necessary.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and pleasant communication with all new and existing clients.
  • Creating sales orders, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Managing, reviewing, and shipping incoming and outgoing samples.

WHAT YOU'RE LIKE

We are looking for someone who is interested in building a future with a small, but fast-growing, dynamic company. You should have a high level of energy and professionalism, think critically, feel confident, and comfortable handling multiple tasks, eager to learn and, importantly, not be afraid to ask questions. You must also have a high-level of customer service skills, strong written/verbal skills, be extremely detail-oriented, and have a positive solution-focused attitude.

  • You have a bachelor's degree. It does not matter what you studied, but anything related to international business or languages would be a huge advantage.
  • You have 1-2 years of work experience - preferably in consumer products development and sourcing.
  • You are able and comfortable operating at multiple different levels and are not fazed by being given responsibilities that could permanently alter the course of the business on the same day you have to do minor tasks.
  • You consider yourself a plant that one day wants to grow into a giant tree. That was a metaphor, we are not hiring plants, but we are looking for people that want to grow with the business.
  • You are the kind of person who is weirdly obsessed with overcoming challenges that do not have straightforward answers and require in-depth research.
  • You think working globally is the future - and embrace the fact that working hours vary based on workflow, business needs, and time zones.
  • You realize the world isn't a perfect place but believe that sustainability plays a large role in making things better.
  • Experience with Netsuite is a huge plus!

YOUR CAPABILITIES
  • You have a sense of curiosity that's sharper than a samurai sword and use it to cut through the noise to source viable new and exciting ideas for our clients.
  • You are highly detail-oriented and obsessively organized with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment while following tasks through to completion. You are the kind of person that would somehow find a way to start a cult that is solely based on organizational infrastructure and task tracking.
  • You have a proactive, reliable, positive and professional attitude. We know that sounds cliché, but it just might be the most important part of the job.
  • You are outgoing, friendly, and have an approachable personality. We have a fun, quirky, and team-focused company culture at sourceM - and we are looking to bring someone on board who can both professionally and personally grow with us.

OTHER STUFF
  • The salary range is $65k - $90k.
  • Your benefits will include annual bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401k match, monthly team lunches and quarterly outings.
  • We have a hybrid work environment where you will be able to work from home three days a week and foster coworker relationships by coming into our dedicated office at The Preserve (Hollywood, CA) two days a week.
  • We have quarterly group trainings to support growth and learning and keep you engaged.
  • Send resume and cover letter to HR@sourceM.com
