Night Shift Production Team Lead Effective June 2, 2022, Scholle IPN is now part of SIG.
We are currently hiring for a Night Shift Production Team Lead who will be responsible for leading an assigned team in the manufacturing process while participating in workflow and providing backup assistance to Production Techs. This position requires the ability to effectively interact with employees and multiple departments to achieve the highest levels of Safety, Quality & Performance goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote workplace safety through performance of shift safety meetings, weekly area safety audits, and weekly safety Gemba walks
Investigate and complete safety incident reports including near miss, incidents to equipment or people
Effectively lead root-cause improvement activities utilizing shift personnel
Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving problems
Initiate action on any food/product safety issue immediately. All staff has the responsibility to correct or report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Complete daily audits, including but not limited to Safety, Food Safety, & paperwork
Support Continuous Improvement activities
Able to identify & investigate reoccurring production issues
Able to enter & interpret DAS data
Able to complete AM inspections on all machines
Able to interpret & complete standard work
Able to interpret & complete JSAs (Job Safety Analysis)
Assist personnel in training & achievement of Tech Levels
Identify & recognize visual defects on ABMs & in the Fitments area
Able to correct abnormalities with products on the ABM
Able to complete Hold tickets & audit bins in the Hold Area
Schedule manning & react to schedule changes
Forklift license
Able to fill in for production personnel during absences
Troubleshoot equipment
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work all shifts and perform overtime
Previous experience in bag making preferred
Future training and/or education may be necessary to further job skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and Power Point presentations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate mean, median, and mode, and apply SPC to the quality processes
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Virtual Client to perform effectively in daily activities
Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications
