We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead complex Distribution Center projects, including automation, software upgrades, and IT infrastructure initiatives. This role involves overseeing cross-functional teams, ensuring project success, and driving process improvements. The first major project will be an ERP assessment for Sage 300. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans (timelines, budgets, resources).
Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Foster collaboration and communication across all project stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Technical Leadership:
Provide expertise in hardware/software installations.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design solutions.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement operational improvement opportunities.
Maintain and update standard operating procedures.
Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Clearly communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Address concerns and resolve conflicts promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or related field.
PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, preferably in logistics or manufacturing.
Deep understanding of warehouse operations, automation technologies, and software systems (WMS, ERP).
Proven experience managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Additional Requirements:
Experience with IT infrastructure projects (network, server, database management).
Knowledge of warehouse safety and compliance standards.
Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
Work Schedule:
Hybrid work schedule with in-office collaboration in Poway and remote work on Fridays and every other Wednesday.
