Summary:
  • As a Senior/Product Manager specializing in Headless Commerce Experience, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, design, business/category leaders, content management, and operations, serving as the full product owner throughout the innovation process. Your primary focus will be on driving B2C/B2B web application development using operable, reusable modules, and extensions, ensuring seamless integration with backend commerce features, frontend digital touchpoints, content management systems (i.e., AEM - Adobe Experience Manager), operational tools, and REST APIs.
  • You will be responsible for leading initiatives that shape the future of our eCommerce platform, specifically focusing on headless commerce experiences. By leveraging your deep technological expertise and thought leadership, you will guide the development of cutting-edge solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.
  • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods.
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time-sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid overtime, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
  • Frequently works additional hours beyond the normal schedule.
  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company's competitive position.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PRODUCT MANAGER:
  • Internalize and deeply understand Samsung's mission and strategies, as well as the mission and objectives of the eCommerce team.
  • Distill vision and strategy for the team and get all members of the cross-functional team excited.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap, including vision, market and competitive intelligence, requirements, prioritization, adoption, communication, partner support, and training.
  • Present product plans and updates to senior leadership and successfully influence outcomes that contribute to the company's mission and growth.
  • Act as the full product owner, effectively communicating the "why" behind the product and addressing complex challenges with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, business, content, design).
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring their readiness and alignment with the product roadmap during setup and implementation phases.
  • Set goals and measures to define what success looks like for the products they are working on, and how the teams contribute to these goals.
  • Simplify complexity by analyzing intricate issues and developing efficient solutions across product offerings.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements to discern between urgent and important, and important vs. obvious.
  • Provide data-driven insights and feedback to inform product development.
  • Keep projects on track and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Thoroughly document research and requirements to facilitate rapid execution.
  • Plan, organize, and manage projects to achieve a predetermined goal.
  • Monitor and measure launched products and feed learnings back into the product development process.
  • Write product specifications, work with designers to build mocks, and collaborate with engineers to ship features.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR PRODUCT MANAGER:

Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or equivalent.

Master's degree in business, technical, or equivalent field is preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years of experience in e-commerce in a product role delivering highly successful experiences.
  • Experience in Cart/checkout and payment space, preferably 5+ years of experience in this area.
  • Experience in developing and implementing product roadmap using a data-driven approach.
  • A subject matter expert working in e-Commerce with meaningful experience building and shipping products.
  • Experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle from product vision to scaling, go-to-market strategy, driving requirements, and product launch.
  • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction, collaborating with Design and Engineering teams.
  • Experience clearly articulating product features, benefits, and differentiators to stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
  • High degree of ownership and accountability, with a demonstrated track record of owning products end-to-end with clear measures of success.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to pivot quickly.
  • Track record of coordinating and overseeing the entire end-to-end process of a project.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR PRODUCT MANAGER:
  • Strong ability to write detailed product specifications.
  • Stellar design instincts and product taste.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and track multiple assignments and projects, providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents, and media materials as needed.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
  • Work independently and in a team environment to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals, and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • Ability to develop tasks and work assignments based on sometimes vaguely defined objectives.
  • Ability to think and act holistically beyond their workstream and bridge it all together.
  • Excellent presentation skills and confidence presenting to c-level executives.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills and proficiency in Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet/Airtable, Tableau/Google Analytics/Firebase, and/or other analytics tools.
  • Time management, adaptability, negotiating, critical thinking, and time management.
  • Leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • A never-ending desire to learn and grow.
  • People management experience and/or ability to pivot from individual contributor to a people manager.
