Our client is seeking a strategic Procurement leader with Fabricated Components/Raw Materials purchasing experience and exceptional expertise in project management, supplier engagement, market transformation, NPI and R&D.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the business roadmap and global procurement goals, ensuring supplier quality and competitive advantage.
Supplier Management:
Foster robust supplier relationships to enhance innovation, resilience, and value creation. Leverage market insights for strategic supplier selection.
Team Leadership:
Manage and empower a team of procurement leaders, cultivating collaboration across adjacent organizations to deliver strategic outcomes.
Innovation Leadership:
Act as a key player in offer innovation processes by leveraging deep technical knowledge and championing continuous learning within the team.
Market & Risk Analysis:
Align supplier market opportunities and risks with business strategies. Implement category strategies to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
Operational Excellence:
Drive key performance metrics, including cost, time-to-market, standardization, and supplier innovation. Ensure effective resource allocation and issue escalation to relevant stakeholders.
Collaboration & Advocacy:
Partner with R&D and product management teams to drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) initiatives. Advocate for standardization and technical productivity.
Travel Expectations:
Up to 30% travel within North America.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Electronics Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
Industry Expertise:
10+ years of experience in fabricated components/raw materials procurement, including NPI, brand labeling, and managing sheet metal commodities.
Leadership Experience:
Proven success managing global teams and fostering high-performance cultures.
Strategic & Technical Skills:
Strong strategic vision with expertise in mechanical categories, supplier capacity management, and raw materials.
Communication & Negotiation:
Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse perspectives.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
