The Escrow Disburser is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of funds for real estate transactions. This role requires detailed knowledge of title company disbursing procedures, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the ability to manage high volumes of financial transactions with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify closing files to ensure all necessary documentation and approvals are in place before disbursing funds.
Disburse funds accurately and efficiently in accordance with closing instructions, settlement statements, and company policies.
Process wire transfers, checks, and other forms of payments, ensuring all disbursements align with compliance and regulatory standards.
Reconcile escrow accounts daily to ensure all disbursements and deposits are balanced.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records for audits and compliance reviews.
Prepare and review final settlement statements and disbursement ledgers.
Ensure all payouts (e.g., liens, mortgages, property taxes) are processed correctly and timely.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in escrow or title company disbursing is required.
Strong understanding of escrow processes, real estate transactions, and settlement procedures.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage high transaction volumes.
Proficient in escrow management software and financial systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
