CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by a Chemical Manufacturing client to identify a Plant Manager to join their team.
We are seeking an experienced, proactive Production Planner to organize and optimize production for our warehouse and manufacturing plant specializing in plastics and chemicals. In this role, you will oversee the timely and efficient flow of production to meet high standards in a safe, compliant environment. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with additional overtime as required.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate and prioritize production workflow for high-volume plastic and chemical products.
Input data for new items and collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other departments to ensure safety and compliance standards.
Manage inventory levels and adjust production based on demand, addressing shifts in supply chain and lead times.
Determine required manpower, equipment, and raw materials to meet production goals.
Schedule shifts to align production demands and operational priorities.
Monitor jobs to ensure on-time completion within budget, minimizing waste and maximizing resource efficiency.
Act swiftly to resolve production issues, reducing potential disruptions.
Track output information, including production volumes and defect rates.
Keep paperwork organized, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a safe working environment.
Actively engage in production meetings, facilitating communication between quality control, warehouse, and production teams.
What You'll Need:
Proven experience as a production planner in a manufacturing setting (plastics and/or chemicals preferred).
Knowledge of production planning and quality control within a high-safety, regulatory environment.
Proficiency with SAP.
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
Intermediate math skills.
Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma required; further education or relevant certification preferred.
