The Role
Responsible for developing and managing the production schedule and supply plan to ensure demand is met. The The individual will be responsible for providing the production plan for the next 7 months and a weekly production schedule consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create a rolling 7 month Master Production Schedule based off the Demand Plan, Open Contract PO's, and other forecast(s) provided.
Refresh FG inventory levels, open sales orders, and the Supply Plan (production orders), monthly, in the ERP system and adjust the supply plan where necessary.
Develop and manage inventory targets for brands.
Maintain finished good inventory at target levels to ensure customer fulfillment, warehouse availability, and cost effectiveness.
Work directly with purchasing to ensure changes to the supply plan can be supported from a component standpoint.
Understand finished good lead times to properly plan on the relevant time horizon.
Rough cut capacity plan to determine if we can produce the monthly supply plan or reprioritize.
Publish weekly production schedule by EOD Thursday for the following week
Maintain production efficiency by campaigning formulas and packaging sizes where possible
Troubleshoots and exercises judgement within specified procedures to determine appropriate action
Fully review chemical inventory and packaging inventory before scheduling a production job and the associated formula job
Ensure all production jobs are completed on time or communicate the reasons for altered timelines
Ensure all production jobs are closed timely and scheduled in the proper weekly bucket
Update existing production jobs for updates to the BOM or relevant changes to the specific FG
Communicate priorities with production and compounding managers
Communicate with purchasing any material shortages or discrepancies
Manage extra bulk by combining into future runs or disposing
Support the S&OP process meetings to review service levels, schedule attainment, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications.
Other related duties as required or assigned
