The HSE Supervisor will oversee and manage the health, safety, and environmental activities within the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining effective HSE programs, conducting risk assessments, training employees, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
This project is in Wheatfield, Indiana.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Update policies and procedures as necessary to reflect changes in regulations or company operations.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards.
Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Track and analyze incident trends to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure the organization complies with all relevant HSE regulations and standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
OSHA 30 certification (required)CPR and first aid certification
Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or similar are preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HSE role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
3-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the construction industry
Experience in the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures.
Aware of the OSHA standards and requirements
Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
proficiency in report writing and record-keeping.
Ability to analyze data, conduct risk assessments, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.
