The Team Lead - IT End User Support & Services for Leica Biosystems is responsible for managing all aspects of IT end user support and end user device management in their respective region. This position is part of the global IT Support and End User Services organization located in Cincinnati, OH USA (alternate location: Deerfield, IL USA) and will be an on-site role. You will be a part of the IT Support and End User Services - Americas East Team and report to the Senior Manager, IT End User Support and Services - Americas. Your main job priorities are ensuring high performance of End User IT services and customer satisfaction within the team that is "the face of IT." In this role, you will have the opportunity to:




  • Manage, mentor & coach a regional team of direct reports (FTEs and contractors) including performance management


  • Manage the lifecycle of tickets (incidents, service requests, problems) through to resolution - including direct tickets resolved by the Team Lead, as well as assisting team members with escalated support issues


  • Oversee the management of all end user devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, conferencing equipment etc.) through their lifecycle, ensure device replacement cycle planning and execution


  • Procurement of IT equipment and services


  • Use Daily Management to ensure that SLA targets and KPI targets are being met and constantly improved


  • Develop and implement Standard Work


  • Maintain an excellent level of customer service





The essential requirements of the job include:




  • Completed IT apprenticeship or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience


  • Expert level experience with IT hardware such as desktops, laptops, printers, conferencing equipment, mobile devices etc.


  • Expert level knowledge of MS Windows (Client and Server), MS Office, M365 and other typical desktop and server applications


  • Working level knowledge of tools like Microsoft End Point Manager, Lansweeper, Intune


  • Working level knowledge of ITIL V3 or ITIL V4 frameworks


  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in a similar role or 4 years in IT 2nd level support


  • People leader skills demonstrating proficiency across all Danaher Core Behaviors




Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:



  • Ability to travel - travel in this role is typically 1 week per month (25%) for overnight travel, and is normally within the continental United States; there is a possibility of infrequent international travel, so having a US Passport is a plus

  • Must have reliable transportation to the specified daily on-site office (Cincinnati or Deerfield)

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs., most work will occur in an office environment, but occasionally visits will be made to other facilities such as manufacturing or warehouse sites.




It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:



  • Industry Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+, MCP, PMP, ITIL

  • Ability & desire to develop oneself and others

  • Fluency in languages other than English



The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.



This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
