Position SummaryAt McCarthy Building Companies, we're looking for an Internal Communications Coordinator to help foster a strong, unified company culture through storytelling and communication tools. If you're passionate about crafting impactful messages, executing dynamic communication plans, and engaging employees through creative strategies, this role is for you! As Internal Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for the conceptualization, creation, and delivery of communication strategies and plans that drive McCarthy Building Companies' core values to employees across the Southern Region. We're looking for an enthusiastic content specialist who is skilled in storytelling and project execution and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Communication Strategy: Assisting in strategy development for communications efforts, including planning, messaging, and design.
  • Content Creation: Developing and deploying high-quality, high-impact communications across the region to support internal initiatives and events.
  • Brand Visuals: Creating and maintaining graphics in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and/or PowerPoint.
  • Project Execution: Serving as producer/project manager for creative projects executed by external vendors (video, photography) as needed.
  • Internal Culture: Building effective relationships within and across the team, as well as with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Journalism, Communication, Marketing or other related degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience preferred in a communications role
  • Strong storytelling— a talent for crafting messages that inform and inspire
  • Project management— the ability to bring your ideas to life with detailed efficiency
  • Eye for design— experience with Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of the importance of protecting brand standards
  • Digital savvy— proficiency in all Microsoft applications. Experience with content management systems and familiarity with CRM database management is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, team player with strong work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure, excelling at meeting tight deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload, juggle multiple projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills that foster collaboration
  • Flexible and able to learn quickly, particularly new technology
  • Provide creative solutions to support employee engagement
