HunaTek is seeking a highly motivated Contracts Administrator to join our team. As a Contracts Administrator, you will have the opportunity to manage and oversee the lifecycle of federal government contracts with our government clients. Position is full-time in the Washington DC Metro area with up to 10% travel. Flexible Work Arrangement: Hybrid with Potential for Full Remote.
Essential Job Functions
The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for managing and overseeing the lifecycle of federal government contracts for the Department of State. This role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and monitoring contracts to ensure compliance with federal regulations and procurement laws. The position of Contracts Administrator requires expertise in acquisition regulations, the Basic Contract's terms and conditions, Order procedures, proposal preparation, negotiations, and Basic Contract/Order administration.
Contract Management: Prepare, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with federal regulations (FAR, DFARS).
Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with federal laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Monitoring: Track contract performance and deliverables, ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations.
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any contract-related issues or disputes in a timely manner.
Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, finance, and project management teams, to facilitate contract execution and administration.
Reporting: Generate and present reports on contract status, performance metrics, and compliance issues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, including amendments, modifications, and renewals.
Skills and Qualifications Required
US Citizenship.
Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS) and government contracting processes.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to present briefs and interact with senior leaders/stakeholders.
High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office 365 programs, including Excel and SharePoint.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be detail oriented and organized.
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Required: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract administration within the federal government sector.
Preferred: Direct experience supporting the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security.
Preferred: While not required, the following certifications are highly desirable and will be considered a plus:
Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C)
Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
