Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full-time METCAL (gage calibration trainer) II in San Diego, CA.
Job Summary: Provide on-site training to shipboard personnel in Pressure, Temperature, and Torque Calibration and the proper operation, care, and
maintenance of Shipboard Gage Calibration Program test equipment. Update course material as calibration equipment and techniques change.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge and process repository for the Shipboard Gage Calibration Program, including extensive calibration standards,
methods and techniques utilized in the calibration of Navy METCAL Program Test and Measurement Systems in addition to calibration laboratory
requirements including procedures, equipment, facility requirements, environment, organization, management and documentation.
Maintain knowledge and process repository for the Shipboard Gage Calibration Program, including extensive calibration standards,
methods and techniques utilized in the calibration of Navy METCAL Program Test and Measurement Systems in addition to calibration laboratory
requirements including procedures, equipment, facility requirements, environment, organization, management and documentation.
Coordinate and conduct on site FCA certification inspections at Fleet and Shore activities.
Maintain a Certification schedule for each FCA visit and provide Certification letters and Certificates to the customer and others required,
and maintain a database of results of each visit.
Track and manage the Shipboard Gauge Calibration Program Standards Loan Pool. Check out and sign in calibration standards from ships
to support calibration and shipboard inspections.
Track loan pool equipment, calibration periodicity and operational condition.
Provide classroom training to shipboard personnel for Shipboard Gauge Calibration Program test equipment, including but not limited to
Difference Training required by NAVSEA, with extensive knowledge of calibration standards, methods and techniques utilized in the calibration.

Update course material as calibration equipment and techniques change.
Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to active-duty military calibration technicians in all areas, functions, and tasks.
Required qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years' experience.
Certification: NAVSEA IQP for SME conducting METCAL training.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
Ability to read technical manuals and standards

Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $31.06 to $32.30 Per Hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
ADA Notations:
Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of occasional noise.
Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways, and up and down antenna masts/yardarms (onboard ships).
Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
Office, warehouse, laboratory, pier side, shipboard.
Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud.
