Volt is immediately hiring for an Assistant Area Manager in Visalia, CA


As an Assistant Area Manager you will:

  • Assist in supervising office staff and ensuring smooth office operations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with tenants.
  • Help prepare and submit required reports.
  • Maintain accurate property inventory records and conduct annual property assessments.
  • Provide recommendations to the Area Manager on office procedures and related matters.
  • Assist with lease execution and perform unit inspections.
  • Conduct home visits and interviews for new staff.
  • Initiate legal actions against residents when necessary.
  • Oversee tenant screening and provide guidance on occupancy matters.
  • Explain organizational functions and policies to residents and the public.
  • Supervise maintenance staff as needed.
  • Prepare time sheets and requisitions for supplies, materials, and services.
  • Advise residents on the care of property and equipment.
  • Implement safety and fire prevention programs.
  • Audit office files as required.
  • Provide staff training and ensure effective implementation of training processes.
  • May temporarily fill in for other area offices during the Area Manager's absence.
  • Perform related duties as assigned or delegated.

This is a full time temp to hire opportunity


Monday- Friday 8am-5pm


The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Experience with property management in public housing or similar facilities.
  • Understanding of housing maintenance and repair needs.
  • Familiarity with office operations and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of eviction procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to budget and control maintenance and repair tasks for housing facilities.
  • Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Bilingual- Spanish
  • Strength and flexibility to lift supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Good hearing to communicate effectively in-person and by phone.
  • Clear verbal communication skills for interacting with the public and co-workers.
  • Physical ability to perform inspections and serve notices at housing units.
  • A valid CA drivers license and clean DMV record

Pay Rate: $33.07 per hour
