Blow Molding Maintenance Team Coordinator - Monday-Friday
Reports to: Maintenance Team Leader/Team Leader
BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for set-up, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of blow molding, systems room and any other related equipment. Assist Machine Operators and Line Technicians to insure safe, efficient operation of equipment to meet SQMS guidelines. Perform building maintenance and forklift preventative maintenance and repair as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
May do any combination of the following duties:
Set-up and/or changeover equipment, troubleshoot and repair equipment and perform preventative maintenance on equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet scheduling requirements. Insure equipment is running safely and meeting necessary quality specifications before completion.
Monitor equipment for adherence to efficiency and quality specifications. Respond to maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner. Notify the Maintenance Team Leader, Team Leader and other Maintenance Mechanics of potential problems as necessary.
Perform building maintenance and document and test internal/external systems as necessary. Perform preventative maintenance and repair on forklifts and related equipment.
Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
Repair and/or rebuild spare machine parts as needed.
Perform testing and fill out paperwork for equipment and related processes as necessary.
Attend training classes as requested.
Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Team Leader and/or Team Leader.
Perform other duties as requested by the Maintenance Team Leader and/or Team Leader. Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality.
Summary: Assist the Maintenance Team by coordinating team functions, work processes, and training activities. Serve as an effective communicator on all issues that affect the team. Fully participate in all aspects of team activity. Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary. 1. Acquire and maintain the skills necessary to be effective in all positions, while participating as a team member to achieve targeted operating goals. 2. Coordinate the orientation and training of new team members and team members moving into new jobs. 3. Ensure that necessary team reports are produced by the team. Train other team members on how the reports are completed. 4. Coordinate the performance evaluations of all team members. 5. Listen carefully to input and advice from all team members so that communication is kept open at all levels and team members have accurate information on which to base decisions. 6. Coordinate team meetings and team decision making. Coordinate communication activities within the team and between other teams. 7. Complete essential reporting functions in the absence of a Team Leader. 8. Record information on specific disciplinary issues and communicate such issues to a member of the management team in the absence of a Team Leader. 9. Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader or Operations Manager. 10. Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality.
