Product Owner (Hybrid)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Product Owner in Maryland Heights, MO. In this role as Product Owner, you will develop overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, SAFe® Agile and ISO standards). Work to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers. May lead others and direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Act as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Ensure that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers.
Position Responsibilities:
Continuous refinement of the product backlog as a pre-planning function as well as allowing for more capacity to be pulled in as necessary (stories ready to be worked)
Creates/validates acceptance criteria at the story level, is the authority on signing off that a story meets the criteria
Run Iteration Planning - prepares feature and story level priorities for iteration planning, considering impediments and dependencies
Accepts stories in TFS, validates that the story meets the criteria (tests, requirements, etc.)
Understands dependencies and enablers for a product to be able to prioritize
Participate in team demos and retrospectives
Helps define Iteration goals
Works with product manager and system architecture team to determine when to create a release branch from development branch
Provide support to products throughout their lifecycle by developing root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested
Understands stakeholder requirements and priorities
Establishes definition of done for minimum viable products/features
Work under general direction
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

5+ years of experience planning, leading, organizing and motivating multiple project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering software projects.
5+ years of experience implementing and coaching software development teams and business organizations in agile methodologies.
Technical background/understanding of software development lifecycle. Sufficient level of experience to provide credible leadership to development teams.
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
Analytical, planning and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands and being able to do prioritizations
An inspiring and positive approach is wanted to find a way and challenging team and customer
Experience on/with military fighter platforms
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
