Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept | The Department of Computer Science at Portland State University offers students and faculty a community to learn, discover, innovate, and share a curriculum based on the application and theoretical foundations of Computer Science. The department provides many resources for our students with regular faculty members who specialize in a variety of research areas and a dedicated staff to advise our multiple programs of study. We offer undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS, Ph.D.) degrees, a minor, a computer security certificate, and a collaborative degree in Biomedical Informatics with OHSU. |

Position Summary | Portland State University’s Department of Computer Science invites applications for Adjunct Instructors with expertise in core areas of computer science and teaching experience to teach undergraduate sections of courses in computer science. Minimum Qualifications | B.S./B.A. in Computer Science ( or closely related field). Previous teaching experience. |
Preferred Qualifications | MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science. Previous experience teaching large undergraduate classes in Computer Science. |

Compensation | Adjunct faculty are paid per credit hour, per the AFT Collective Bargaining Agreement: https://www.pdx.edu/hr/sites/www.pdx.edu.hr/files/AFTCBA-CBA-9-12-16_Format. Salary may be adjusted above the minimum rates based on qualifications and experience. |
