As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will lead all aspects of the daily operations of the Incoming Quality Control lab. This outstanding role offers you the chance to lead a dedicated team, ensuring seamless compliance with testing and processing procedures while working with other departments to effectively support site manufacturing needs.



Responsibilities

• Maintain team compliance with site QMS


• Manage the QC team, including interviewing, hiring, and performance management


• Coach, mentor, engage, and develop the team


• Investigate invalid and out of specification test results, handle deviations, and lead corrective actions


• Lead the daily activities of the Quality Control laboratory, assigning job duties to employees as needed to ensure the needs of Manufacturing are met


• Lead training and onboarding processes


• Assess and action team metrics


• Ensure deadlines are met under tight timelines and changing priorities


• Represent the IQC team in support of internal and external audits and site/network cross-functional meetings


• Develop, review, and maintain procedures and work instructions


• Apply continuous improvement and lean tools to optimize lab operations

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related subject is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience

• Direct supervisory experience is strongly preferred


• 3-5 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Highly proficient with MS Excel


• Strong communication skills with the ability to actively listen, resolve conflicts, and effectively influence diverse collaborators,and team members.


• Routine use of MS Teams and MS Word


• Highly organized with attention to detail


• Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, accountable, and flexible


• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks/projects, and meet deadlines


• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities


• Skill to encourage and foster innovation, collaboration, transparency, and team efficiency


• Effective written and oral communication skills


• Strong command of Quality System Regulations and ISO

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $75,800.00-$113,675.00.
