Job Details:
This position is responsible for leading the strategic direction for Tyson's Fresh Meats specific to pork and beef, driving to a category expansion in the areas of domestic retail, food service, international business, and value-added product lines. We are looking for a dynamic leader who relishes the challenge of changing the market landscape through the design and execution of a world class strategic marketing plan.
This is an onsite role based in Northwest Arkansas, this role is not eligible for hybrid or remote work. If selected, candidate should be ready for relocation (relocation package available)
Specific aspects of the role include:
Support of both business-to-consumer and business-to-business marketing strategy and tactical execution.
Identifying and developing new product lines and brand identities in competitive marketplace areas where the business can create revenue and profit growth over the long-term.
Identifying opportunities to leverage Tyson Foods brands in a category otherwise focused on unbranded commodities.
Strong team leadership, directly and indirectly, along with the ability to lead multiple high-profile cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.
Developing an intimate understanding of production & R&D related to beef and pork.
Involvement in process improvement projects and coordinating product revisions and new introductions.
Key account presentation building and cooperative selling with the sales organization.
Third party agency management experience along with a proven track record of leading a diverse team of indirect reports to strong strategic and tactical marketing results.
Full understanding of marketing research and syndicated data related to the industry to extract meaningful market insights.
Communicates effectively internally and externally, and across all levels due to the frequent interaction with C-suite stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related discipline. MBA preferred. Experience: 10+ years of marketing/product mgmt. experience preferably with an established food company but open to other industries; experience in building brands, product lines, and launching new products; previous P&L management experience preferred; experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Deli Scan); consumer promotion and advertising exposure; experience in managing a team of direct reports; experience in leading third-party outside agency resources. Computer Skills: Microsoft expertise. Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills a must.
