We are seeking to hire Journey-level Lineworkers to work at the North and South Service Centers in the Transmission & Distribution Operations Division. These positions are responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical power systems, transmission, distribution and non-network underground systems, and street lighting systems. These positions will report to the Electrical Construction and Maintenance Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform skilled work in the construction and maintenance of electrical power transmission and distribution systems (4.1 KV and 26 KV).
Set, raise and guy wooden poles, using climbers and belts.
Operate bucket trucks to install and maintain overhead systems.
Test, troubleshoot and repair defective circuits.
Work Splice overhead and underground wire and cable.
Install conductors in conduit and pan trenches.
Work on energized lines and equipment using rubber protective devices or hotline tools.
Trains and instructs Lineworker Apprentices, Line Helpers and other crew members.
Performs other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.
Desired Qualifications: Three years of journey-level experience in line construction.

Salary range for this position is hourly rate $74.67 to hourly rate $74.67.

Required Qualifications:
Experience: Requires successful completion of a Lineworker apprenticeship program, including two years' experience working with 2200 VAC or above (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work is performed outdoors in all types of weather. Work is performed at varying heights, in and around high voltage and energized equipment, in construction areas, and around moving traffic. Work requires prolonged physical exertion and lifting of objects that weigh more than 50 pounds. Requires working evenings, weekends, holidays and long hours during emergency and outage situations.
Certification/License: Driver License with a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class "A" endorsement.
