Community Engagement Manager, Provider Relationship Account Management
Location: Baton Rouge or Metairie, Louisiana
This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Louisiana Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.
The Community Engagement Manager oversees and coordinates activities related to the development and maintenance of provider and stakeholder relationships, leads Community Collaborative initiatives, and promotes public awareness campaigns and activities to increase knowledge of crisis services available in the state of Louisiana. This position will lead a team of community-embedded staff who will create and sustain partnerships in their communities that support the work of Carelon and our client.
How you will make an impact:
Responsible for professional, timely, and responsive follow-up to provider or community issues.
Directs Community Engagement and promotion of the Crisis Hub.
Participates in Community Collaboratives to secure valuable and actionable feedback on company initiatives.
Works collaboratively with LDH/OBH and the MCOs' operational staff on related daily issues.
Manages and oversees processes to ensure provider account teams/cohorts are sufficiently staffed and trained in providing timely issue resolution, provider education/orientation, evaluation of network adequacy and recruitment into the provider network.
Manages the workflow of the provider relationship account team and has budget accountability.
Acts as a liaison to ensure that all internal matrix partners and external stakeholders are effectively informed.
Monitors team activities to assure staff meets performance standards and is operating effectively and efficiently; resolves escalated issues.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree in business or related health field and a minimum of 3 years of provider relations experience; 3 years leadership/management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
7 years of relevant experience is strongly preferred.
Previous leadership experience is preferred.
Behavioral health experience is preferred.
Education campaign development is preferred.
Public speaking and presentation skills are strongly preferred.
