Job Description:

Job Details:



This position is responsible for operating machinery and maintaining product flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Operate double reach lift in a safe and efficient manner. Work in cooler as inventory control or drive a jack as needed. Assist in clean- up. Assist in rotation of bathroom breaks and lunch. Keep correct count of pallets and slats. Wrap all products necessary going to sister plant (TDC). Help ensure product shipped and received is acceptable. Assist in loading and unloading trailers. Dump trash, wash pallets, slats, and green bins. This position occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs. The work environment has wet floors, high humidity, and temp variations. Must be able to stand, bend and lift product/supplies for up to 8 or more hours per day. All other duties assigned by supervisor. Must get certified to become forklift driver, double reach and hand jack driver. Must we willing to work weekends and overtime when required.



Requirements:



  • Must complete an on-line job application in Workday

  • Must be a full-time team member and have completed the 90-day probationary period. If there are no qualified candidates, probationary team members will be considered.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50-70lbs.

  • Must not have a self-demotion or declined a job bid in the last six (6) months, unless biding to a higher class.

  • Must have less than 8 attendance points at the time of the bid and to be awarded the job.

  • Successful bidders will not be allowed to bid for (6) months unless the bid is for a higher classification rating.

  • Any team member who accumulates 8 or more attendance points, who holds a class 2 or above position, will be demoted to any available class 1 position in the plant.




DISCRETIONARY JOBS are awarded to the best qualified candidate based on qualifications to include, work history, attendance, discipline, and position requirements.



***This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. If there no qualified candidates at this facility, candidates from other locations and external will be considered.
