Job Description:
Patrolman
The Benton Charter Township Police Department Is accepting applications for the position of patrolman, starting 4/22/2024 until 12/31/2024. This department will sponsor and pay reduced wages to attend an MCOLES approved academy. The patrolman’s position starts at $52,604 yearly and tops out at $75,716 after 5 years.
If you have prior experience as a police officer, your starting wage will be based upon your years of prior experience and could be as high as $63,864.
This department offers medical, dental and vision insurance, 14 paid holidays, gun and clothing allowance, education bonus, defined pension plan-vesting 10 years, bereavement 5 days, life insurance, longevity pay, 12-hour work shifts, every other 3-day weekend off, and a $2500 hiring bonus upon completion of the academy and field training program.
Uniforms and required equipment are furnished.
