As a Manager, Special Events Communication and Executive Events , you will support the team responsible for providing a differentiated selling platform for Hilton's diverse portfolio of brands by being relentlessly motivated to grow market share. On the Special Events team reporting to the Vice President, Sales Engagement and Special Events, you will focus on building communication strategies for internal conferences and customer engagement events.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.


  • Oversee communications rollout for annual Customer Engagement Plan (CEP). Develop and implement communication strategy - including the creation of custom engagement guides, internal newsletter articles, hotel presentations promoting registration for events.
  • Create Executive Engagement Guide. Provide event updates/calendar holds for executives throughout the year.
  • Support select CEP events ensuring seamless communications strategies through entire event lifecycle.
  • Maintain Executive Summary decks, ensuring all event details are up to date.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to develop strategies for all conferences and ensure understanding of messaging/narrative. Work with creative agencies, ensuring branding and messaging across deliverables. Assist with presentation development.
  • Lead planning of the annual Global Week of Engagement, collaborating across teams to align with HWS objectives. Manage communications, including event theming, and internal messaging, and deliver a comprehensive communications plan for these initiatives.
  • Manage Special Events Lobby page, white papers, presentations, and social content.
  • All other tasks as requested by Special Events leadership.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:


  • Five (5) years in Communications or a related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in project management, and communication plan management
  • Experience with creative content, narrative development, and storytelling
  • Excellent with PowerPoint
  • Selling, influencing, and teamwork skills, fostering multiple partner relationships across a complex organization
  • Can travel up to 25% of the time

It would be useful if you have:

  • BA/BS in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations
  • Experience pulling raw data together and putting it into a compelling story
  • Experience with positive relationship management and communication
  • Multimedia communications experience, including copywriting and design
  • Experience with critical communications planning and management of the communications plan
