This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Global Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for:


  • Build and execute a proven systematic strategy for mechanical installation and rigging to support the sales and service business within the United States for Siemens Healthineers and Varian globally.

  • Facilitate and execute the proven systematic strategy within Latin America and Asia for Siemens Healthineers.

  • Ability train local commodity managers to implement the proven systematic.

  • Share best practices with local commodity manager through the regions.

  • Conduct global negotiations and support local ones globally if needed.

  • Pro-actively manage & develop current and new suppliers.

  • Develop and actively drive commodity strategies to support the cross functional needs and contribute cost reductions, process improvements and increase revenue.

  • Align with local, global, and regional commodity managers to support cross functional needs.

  • Develop key strategic supplier partnerships that enable Siemens Healthineers and Varian to be more competitive globally & locally.

  • Willing to challenge internal and external suppliers to change processes, procedures, or the way thing have been historically completed.

  • Communicating and executing strategy within other countries

  • Negotiating and managing products and service suppliers.

  • Ability to work pro-actively while anticipating next steps while following Siemens Healthineers and Varian policy and procedures.

  • Self-motivated individual whom can work independently with a macro viewpoint and with cross functional teams throughout different countries.

  • Develop key strategic supplier partnerships and drive strategies.

  • Broad knowledge of the healthcare market in North America & ability to assist to implement and use proven systematic strategy .

  • Ability to work with and influence cross functional partners within the world.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:


  • BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.

  • Minimum 10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities

  • Extensive experience with price and contractual agreement negotiations

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in supplier sourcing processes and supplier development

  • Experience with driving change, processes, and implementing tools/processes within organizations with a proven outcome
