Job Description:

As a Project Developer at World Energy, specializing in Energy Efficiency and EV Charging projects, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and delivering comprehensive energy solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, conducting energy audits, designing tailored proposals, and driving the successful execution of projects together with the project management team. Your focus will be on maximizing energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and facilitating the adoption of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with Sustainability Sales Associates, Executives, Directors, and clients to understand the client's energy goals and requirements.
  • Energy Audits: Conduct thorough energy audits and assessments of client's facilities to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Solution Design: Develop detailed and customized project proposals that outline energy-efficient measures, EV charging solutions, project scope, costs, savings potential, ROI, etc.
  • Project Closing and Handover: Assist the Sustainability Sales team member with the close (for larger / complex projects) and once a project is closed, collaborate closely with the Sales team member to jointly hand over the project to the Project Manager, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment of project objectives.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of energy-efficient technologies, EV charging systems, and industry best practices to provide expert guidance to our clients and enable continuous knowledge sharing with the project management team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry standards, incentives, and regulations related to energy efficiency and EV charging, ensuring projects meet all compliance requirements.
  • Client Relationships: Foster strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams externally (subcontractors, utility representatives, distributors, manufacturers reps) and internally (Sales, Project Admins, Project Managers, and Finance/Accounting) to ensure seamless project transitions and execution.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including energy audit reports and project handover packages.
  • Utility Expert: Be well versed with the utility programs available, with a lens to accomplishing utility objectives while maximizing value to our customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, or the equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in energy efficiency and/or EV charging project development.
  • Proficiency in conducting energy audits and energy modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with energy efficiency incentive programs and utility rebates is a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility.

What We Offer:

This position has a base salary determined by related and relevant experience plus uncapped commission and a quarterly bonus plan. A qualified and driven candidate can earn:

$110,000 - $120,000 in total compensation. With the lucrative uncapped commission and bonus plan, your earning potential is limitless.
