Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Sales Operations provides sales operations leadership for the Exact Sciences sales forces.  This role is focused on supporting key initiatives and providing direction on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Sales Force Automation and Administration (SFAA) aspects of the sales support infrastructure. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Contribute to the design and development of CRM and SFAA resources.
  • Develop business acumen skills across team members for overall understanding of KPIs and metrics.

  • Maximize commercial effectiveness via automation and data management.

  • Understand and mine database for opportunities and insights that provide actionable direction.

  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline system preparedness.

  • Lead the development of data reporting systems.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization (Marketing, Commercial Effectiveness, Sales Excellence, Laboratory, Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations, Analytics, IT) to achieve operational efficiencies on key project initiatives and quarterly change processes.

  • Oversee targeting and territory alignments for all field forces.

  • Partner with leaders across the organization (IT, laboratory, Analytics, and Operations) to streamline and harmonize data stewardship principles and practices.

  • Enable collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer/client satisfaction levels and responsiveness.

  • Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances.

  • Supervise staff; including, but not limited to, organize, and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.

  • Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.

  • Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.

  • Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.

  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 75% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.

  • Ability to use a telephone through a headset.

  • Ability to travel 15% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.

  • 8+ years of business experience with a focus either commercial, operations, system management, sales, or training.

  • 3+ years of experience leading people directly or indirectly.

  • Demonstrated ability in establishing processes and procedures leveraging CRM systems; including alignments, targeting, data stewardship and integrity.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

Preferred Qualifications


  • Healthcare industry experience, in the field of marketing, sales, service, or operations.

  • Strong understanding of Veeva, Power BI and Tableau.
