Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Senior Sales Enablement Director will work with the Head of Sales in the areas of strategy development, business planning and execution, deployment of operations that enable the strategy, communications, and culture. The role is primarily responsible for the design, development, and execution of various approaches to improve sales performance and operational excellence.  This role will research, develop, and leverage information from various internal sources to synthesize methodologies that improve management decision-making, monitor tactical execution, and guide the advancement of promotional strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Coordinate across multiple teams to bring the right experts to discussions to maximize sales strategy effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Leadership to develop scalable methodologies and framework of strategy deployment; including design process, framework structure, metrics/impact measurement, and handoffs to appropriate teams.

  • Develop and facilitate team-level engagements focused on improving customer engagement; including interfacing with multiple stakeholder groups and subject matter experts to understand customer needs, planning activities, and the art of what’s possible.

  • Ability to understand long-term strategic needs of customers and assist in development and deployment of related sales strategies.

  • Assist with generation and preparation of regular reports on progress and status for team and stakeholders.

  • Constantly innovate and improve programs and program management mechanisms, suggesting new ideas and best practices for improving the business and customer.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to articulate customer and stakeholder recommendations, balance tradeoffs, drive consensus, and gain support by utilizing excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication.

  • Provide input into the development of the sales incentive program, sales tools, product pricing, reimbursement strategies, and market competitiveness.

  • Responsible for remaining current on market and industry trends.

  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

  • 15+ years of experience in sales or commercial positions within Pharma, Diagnostics, Biotech, or Medical Device fields; 3+ years of this experience being specifically in marketing or sales operations/enablement space.

  • 2+ years of experience as a second line leader within sales, with direct accountability for sales results.

  • Demonstrated experience in impacting the development and implementation of a sales strategy, preferably in the Biotech, Pharma, or Medical Device areas. 

  • Proven experience positioning and selling products in a FDA regulated industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching a specific sales methodology and effective sales management tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating across the organization, particularly with marketing, scientific affairs, and market access teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully motivating sales and sales support teams and developing sales programs and initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration.
