JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide transcription skills for the performance of complex tasks requiring a thorough knowledge of and experience in the use of medical terminology.

 

Qualifications

 

Min Qualifications:

High school or equivalent with 1 year of related experience. 85% spelling accuracy. 40 words per minute

Specific Job Related Duties:

• Transcribes medical reports such as discharge summaries, operative reports, clinic summaries, psycho-diagnostic reports, delivery notes, and other complex medical material from rough drafts, corrected copies, or dictating equipment.


• Proofs transcribed materials for accuracy.


• Adheres to internal controls established for department.


• Performs related duties as required.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience

Preferred Skill/Competency:

• Proficient in typing and spelling.

Work Schedule:

19 hours per week
