Job Summary:
Responsible for account penetration and sales growth in an assigned territory. Required to build professional sales relationships with assigned customers in all channels of distribution. Utilize a consultative selling style that operates independently on a daily basis. Demonstrates proficiency in customer engagement and business acumen competencies.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Meet and exceed projected sales goals based on territory quota established by sales management for the given territory
Leverages knowledge of the Eye Care industry, competition, and product portfolio to meet customer needs.
Use daily a disciplined approach to selling to uncover and meet customer needs. Full understanding and implementation of CooperVision Specialty Eye Care sales platform
Dedicated to meeting customer needs quickly and accurately. Return inquiries same day to a maximum of 24 hours
Utilizes thorough probing style to understand customer’s business, assess needs and profile the account
Responsible for establishing an effective call cycle plan to grow territory business; Execute territory call cycle including in person calls and virtual presentations
Develop growth opportunities within geographic territory
Cultivates internal & external relationships that create sustained value for CVI SEC customers
Combines business acumen with an effective sales process to engage customers and increase sales volumes
Maintain technical proficiency with CVI Specialty Eye Care products and competitive products
Keep current with industry trends and analysis
Integration and training of CVI Specialty suite of technology and value-added products and services for customers office; sell in value-added benefit of tools to enhance customer experience with CVI Specialty
Develop and monitor approved CVI Specialty customer marketing plans and promotions to grow business; monitor effectiveness of plans executed
Executes a detailed territory business plan that is aligned with business and account priorities including regular review and analysis of key metrics and documented adjustments to strategy based on data indicators; plans are reviewed and approved by US Commercial Team
Participate in state, regional and select national optical shows when requested including occasional weekend events
Submit all administrative reports on a timely basis (call reports, expense reports, ROI reports, etc.); daily submission of sales calls into Salesforce.com or similar

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Use of Microsoft Office suite of tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advance skills through training and daily use
Daily use of CRM tool and reports to analyze product, account sales and overall territory growth
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Positive and constructive attitude
Excellent organizational skills
Anticipate, understand, prioritize, and meet customer needs
Adapt to a changing work environment; individuals and/or groups on a daily basis
Communication proficiency with above average verbal and writing skills
Effectively identify, evaluate, and assimilate information to render quality decisions

Previous CRM system experience
High proficiency in reading

Territory travel – Independent from supervisor

Experience:
Three to five years of sales experience. Industry experience including proficiency with GP, Ortho-K and Scleral lenses is a plus.
Commercial and/or medical product sales experience desirable.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
