Job Description:

J.P. Morgan is a market leader in Prime Brokerage. The Transition Manager is responsible for converting a sales mandate into an operational account by coordinating across Sales and Trading, Credit, Margin Trading, Legal, Account Management, Middle Office and KYC. The aim is to deliver a seamless and timely multi-asset class onboarding for our clients, spanning multiple products, including Prime Brokerage, Global Clearing, Equity Derivatives and Fixed Income Financing.

Responsibilities :

Client engagement : Establish and maintain relationships with primary client contacts, such as COO's, CFO's, and Directors. Translate a client strategy and structure along with their margin and financing needs to the relevant J.P. Morgan products, services, and legal entities. Coordinate with Sales and Margin Trading to identify and deliver business solutions to our clients.

Client focus : Ensure that client requirements and Sales mandates are delivered with a sense of urgency. Act as a single point of contact for clients by delivering the firm across business partners during the onboarding. Liaise with third parties involved such as OMS providers and Legal and Consulting firms, while managing the output of Middle Office who work directly with client vendors and administrators.

Project management : Own the delivery of a client onboarding through go-live. Maintain continued progression throughout the life cycle by working collectively with partner teams, including Credit and Legal, on outstanding items. Proactively provide updates to our clients and J.P. Morgan stakeholders on transition status. Identify potential differences between current J.P. Morgan offering and client requirements and work with client and internal partners to solve.

Internal Partner Coordination : Coordinate across J.P. Morgan teams globally throughout the transition process. In particular, building strong relationships with internal partners, such as Sales and Trading, Credit, Margin Trading, Legal, Account Management, and Middle Office in order to facilitate client timelines. Serve as initial point of escalation for internal support teams and our clients.

Qualifications :

• Experience with Hedge Funds, Prime Brokerage, and Fund Administrators is an advantage

• In depth understanding of funds structures, legal entities, and various financing product offerings, as well as familiarity with legal documentation associated with the same

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Very strong client management skills

• Strong problem solving ability: can listen to client requirements and anticipate possible issues and seek to eliminate, mitigate, and escalate as appropriate

• Sense of ownership and accountability to client and business leadership are key

• Appreciation of industry landscape is an advantage

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Ability to focus and mobilize a team to help attain end goal

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and work within demanding and changeable timeframes

• Confident, driven, self-starter with an ability to work independently

• Inquisitive, tenacious and investigative; able to have a consultative approach with business partner teams on complicated workflows
