Crowley is hiring an Able Body Seaman.

Rotations are 30/30.

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Master, Chief Mate and second mate the AB/Deck Utility's duties include making and breaking tow, mooring, un-mooring, and general deck maintenance of the vessel. Make Safety and Security rounds throughout the vessel and assigned barge. Carry out orders in accordance with Company Procedures and Safety Policies. Perform general deck maintenance on the vessel which includes, but is not limited to, chipping, painting, lubricating, sweeping, window washing, and cleaning. Deck Utilities will be assigned to a watch or work as a swingman, performing duties as required in any department of the vessel as well as on the barge(s) towed by their assigned vessel. Cooking duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• USCG MMC
  
  
  • STCW Ratings
    
    
    • AB (A/B Unlimited preferred)
    • Lifeboatman endorsement
    • Basic Training (BT),
    • Personal Survival Craft (PSC),
    • VPDSD or Vessel Security Officer endorsement
    
    
  
  
• Valid Passport
• Valid TWIC
• USCG Medical Certificate (STCW)
• SIU member or must be willing to join

Additional Preferences:

Tug/barge experience, additional credentials, Letter of recommendation.
