Texas Physical Therapy Specialists has a part-time physical therapy technician position available at
our Bailey Square & Central Park clinics.

Summary: The Technician performs routine tasks in assisting the licensed physical therapists/assistants
in maintenance of treatment areas, equipment, and supplies. He or she helps with patient preparation,
exercise and treatment to ensure efficient flow of the schedule and reduces waiting time of the patients.
General requirements are to work with positive patient interaction, excellent communication skills, and
positive energy. The technician must be able to multi-task and problem solve, possess excellent
customer service skills, and be willing to go above and beyond to take care of the customers’ needs.
Pay: $9-11 per hour based on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following:
• Positive, friendly, and professional interactions with patients.

• Attention to detail with all patient and clinic duties.

• Handle stressful situations with a positive attitude.
• Prepares equipment and treatment areas for patients.
• Cleans treatment areas, keeps gym clean and items off the floor.
• Prepares patients for treatment, assisting with transfers and transportation as needed.
• Assures adequate linen and supplies in room.
• Assists with maintenance and cleaning of equipment and clinic.
• Performs general cleaning duties in the facility.
• Routinely inventories equipment and supplies and notifies the Office Manager of items
to order.
• Efficient patient set up with modalities to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Completes opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements: Hours 7 AM- 4 PM on Thursdays, 25 hours of availability mornings and evenings.
Education and/or Experience: Background in health/wellness or personal training preferred, not
required. Pre-physical therapy or allied health degree tract preferred.
Language Skills: Reading and Interpreting in English: Must be able to read and understand basic written
materials, such as work orders, labels, signs and simple written instructions. Mathematics: Must use
basic addition and subtraction in performance of the job.
Working Conditions: Regular exposure to disagreeable tasks or conditions which create physical and/or
mental stress or discomfort, such as heavy lifting, standing and bending.
Communication: Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work with
patients. Must be highly motivated and positive individual who can work with all types of people.
