This position is eligible for remote work at the present time.The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Integration (SCI)/Continuous Improvement (CI) Buyer for John Deere Ottumwa Works located in Ottumwa, IA, you will collaborate with cross- functional teams to implement and maintain supply strategies and supplier relationships to support current production and new product programs for Baling & Mowing products. In addition, you will:

• Organize and lead continuous improvement in terms of supplier relationships, performance and lowest total cost with the supply base utilizing Achieving Excellence criteria and other supply management tools.
• Manage a commodity including supplier selection, cost reductionand sourcing strategy for current and new parts for all Ottumwa product lines.
• Lead and support negotiations with the supply base, ensuring the Company meets overall goals for cost, qualityand continuity of supply.
• Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with cross- functional team members to influence and align on future product needs.
• Support the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost- effective manner.

What Skills You Need

• 2 or more years of project management experience including creating a plan, coordinating resources, and delivering results
• 2 or moreyears of experience in roles that required demonstration of effective communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to lead through influence
• 1 or moreyears of demonstrated effective internal and/or supplier negotiation and conflict resolution
• Previous product design, quality, cost managementor direct material supply management experience
• Demonstrated success working collaboratively in a fast- paced, challenging team environment

What Makes You Stand Out

• 2 or moreyears of experience working directly with suppliers
• 1 or moreyears of experience delivering cost reduction or value improvement projects
• Experience in roles that required advance proficiency in Microsoft products (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI) and Tableau
• Experience working on global teams, global productor global sourcing
• Experience utilizing data analytics tools to make informed business decisions

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related field
