A Day in the Life

At Medtronic CDS, the Sales Associate Specialist is responsible for providing technical, educational and sales support to Medtronic Customers. The primary responsibility is to drive positive customer and patient experiences. This role will work closely with the local Sales Representatives to deliver on field growth and quota objectives.

*This is a field based position.

Responsibilities may include the following:


  • Serve as an effective Medtronic representative to physicians and hospital and clinic staff regarding Medtronic Diagnostics products, service and support
  • Provide CareLink, Medtronic's remote monitoring network system, education and training to drive clinic efficiency and ensure positive customer & patient experience
  • Ensure clinics understand value proposition (Clinical and Economic) of LINQ II/REVEAL LINQ
  • Troubleshoot and re-program LINQ devices as needed
  • Act as LINQ Captain for district LINQ Education Ambassador
  • Collaborate with CRM.
  • Drive collaboration to support LINQ account optimization effort, including consistently communicating with sales representatives and other district team members regarding issues or problems requiring follow-up
  • Provide support to field actions as needed
  • Activates and gets new clinics to initially adopt Medtronic's Diagnostics products and services within an assigned geographic area by working hand-in-hand with the local Diagnostics Sales Representative(s).
  • Provide technical, educational, operational, and administrative support to assist the Diagnostics Sales Representative(s) in onboarding new customers and/or supporting existing customers.
  • Responsible for initial clinic training, set-up, and initial case coverage, as well as managing back-office administrative tasks such as customer set-up, contracting, and tablet deployment processes.
  • Trains physicians and staff on device insertion technique, proper procedure room setup, and insertion and monitoring workflow.
  • Partners with Diagnostics Sales Representative(s) to ensure ongoing adoption of Medtronic's Diagnostics products and services with in-office customers, which may require occasional case coverage or training at assigned accounts.
  • Identify selling opportunities and work closely with the sales representatives to increase sales in their respective accounts.
  • Stay attentive to competitor activity in accounts and keep sales partners informed.
  • Successfully complete all required product and sales related training curriculum.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of relevant working experience

Nice to Have

  • 1-3 years' experience in healthcare, life sciences, engineering or technical field
  • Experience with IT systems and patient management workflow
  • CV Tech certification or RCIS certification
  • Cardiovascular knowledge or clinical experience, or biomedical engineering education.
  • One or more internships in the healthcare or biomedical field.
  • Proven track record with technical training
