We’re glad you’re exploring our Advanced Manufacturing Engineer position and want to share some of the details.


 


First, some of the things you will need include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering and 3 years’ experience. You will also be considered if you have an Associate’s and at least 5 years’ experience. Some experience with developing automation and automation engineering best practices, knowledge IIoT by way of work, courses, etc. is preferred. We'd also like to see some ignition knowledge, project management of technical projects involving hardware and software automation and some understanding of programming of OPLC based control system. 


 


Second, in this position you will be responsible for supporting a wide variety of focused automation projects across multiple plants and departments. You’ll drive adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, manufacturing software, data analytics, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. The Engineer will create Request for Quotation/Proposal (RFQ/RFPs) that documents the design requirements of the automated equipment, delivery schedule, required documentation and qualification for acceptance at machine supplier facility In this role, you will perform the research and development on new technologies necessary to tackle complex assembly and automation opportunities This role will require interfacing with robotics and automation, data analytics, industry 4.0 initiatives and other relevant cutting-edge technologies.
