The A&C Technical Business Development position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase sales, brand recognition and acceptance, and market share of Bray Automation and Control Valve products. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities



  • Assist in formulating and executing the corporate A&C vision, marketing initiatives, and global strategic sales activities

  • Actively participate in customer meetings with local sales champions to grow A&C bookings in key regions.

  • Promote and conduct technical seminars with key customers on a regular basis.

  • Partner with Global Industry Managers (if applicable) to drive A&C product growth at the respective industries – sugar and ethanol, pulp and paper, geothermal, oil and gas, chemical, etc.

  • Initiate and develop growth opportunities related to the extension/expansion of current product lines while maintaining high-level relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Communicate A&C successes in various markets to global salespeople.

  • Work extensively with Product Management to ensure successful launch and commercialization of A&C products and initiatives.

  • Serve as the voice of customer for Product Management, Engineering, and Global Industry Managers for product improvement and new product development opportunities.

  • Responsible for critical pricing decisions, lead time decisions, and facilitation of necessary support required from the General Manager to achieve strategic goals.

  • Coordinate forecasts and present plans to the General Manager in relation to future sales strategy and targets.

  • Identify any potential human resource requirements to help fulfill previous sales goals and established targets

  • Lead A&C AML coordination and execution in conjunction with the sales leadership.



  • This position requires 50% travel; valid Driver’s License required.


Qualifications and Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5 years of direct sales or sales management experience within the valve and automation industry, in a business-to-business technical environment.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Technical degree preferred.


Core Competencies:



  • Ability to understand industry-specific processes in relation to valve and actuation applications.

  • Detailed experience with fluid mechanics and electro-mechanical equipment.

  • Strong analytical skillsets with experience in PowerBI and Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with CRM and ERP Software.

  • Proven business analysis and judgement with the ability to proactively manage time to meet objectives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possess high level capacity for complex negotiations, conflict resolution, and ability to close.

  • Ability to achieve goals through tenacity, professionalism, and strong team play

  • Self-driven, proactive, and ability to multi-task

  • Valid Driver’s License. Personal automobile available for use to make sales and service calls.

  • He/She must meet requirements of Bray’s Drivers Policy at all times including maintenance of current auto liability.  Insurance coverage to the specified limits and following all company safety practices.

  • Credit Check preformed during background check.
