First, we would be looking for you to have a bachelor's degree in a related fields or equivalent demonstrated skills. 5 years’ experience in leadership in a manufacturing environment is desired. Equivalent, non-quality experience will be considered.
Second, this position will be responsible for things like working within the company policies and customer guidelines to manage the quality assurance aspects of raw material items and testing and will be responsible for the application of Customer and Fort Wayne Metal’s quality requirements to the supply base. You will review and review and revise raw material, indirect material, and packaging specifications in accordance with customer expectations, Fort Wayne Metal’s needs, and industry standards while interacting with Operations, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Sales, Supply Chain, and Quality departments to facilitate projects and resolve issues from the supply base. The Supplier Quality Manager will be responsible for initiating, processed and verifying all requests to qualifying and approving new supplier and maintaining the company’s approved supplier list, maintain positive employee relations and climate, and lead in accordance with Fort Wayne Metal’s mission, values, and operating principles.
