Ensure the safety of all employees, contractors, visitors in the facility, leading programs that protect people from environmental, health, and safety hazards.
Act as an advocate for employee health & safety, and act as the standard for safe behavior in the plant
Lead the planning, execution, management, and continuous improvement of EH&S programs, as well as regulatory and legal compliance
Develop and maintain site specific EHS policies, trainings, continuing education programs, etc.
Collaborate with plant staff and leadership to identify opportunities for improvement, and strategize corrective measures and implementation plans
Support/lead the identification, investigation, and root cause analysis of non-conformances
Act as site emergency coordinator for all safety, health, and environmental related incidents
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough record-keeping of all EHS related items
Provide professional weekly & monthly reports to plant manager and executive leadership
What we're looking for:
5+ years of management and/or leadership experience in Environmental Health & Safety within the manufacturing industry
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline (Occupational Safety, Industrial Management, Risk Management, etc.)
Documented record of excellence in workplace safety
Experience in worker's compensation case management, incident investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience with oversight and deployment of employee trainings and education programs related to EHS topics
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
