Job Description:

A Senior Records Specialist will provide records creation, circulation, storage, tracking, transfer and retention services defined by the client. Accurately communicate with client staff and team members regarding commitments, deadlines and challenges. ​

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage all information governance operations on-site for DLA Piper Miami while remotely overseeing the records management needs for DLA Piper’s Tampa and Puerto Rico & Mexico City offices.

  • Assist with the electronic and physical file client transfer process with the responsibility of approval or retention of files integral to firm business operations to be in alignment with the firm’s matter mobility guidelines

  • Provide remote support for national records projects, leveraging diverse software proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access Database, Teams, and the firm's dedicated records databases

  • Work 1-on-1 with attorneys & legal support to meet the various requests on a daily basis

  • Digitize hardcopy documents by scanning files into the firm’s electronic document system, enabling attorneys to access files seamlessly from any location at any time

REQUIREMENTS ​:


  • 1+ year of prior records & information governance experience in a law firm highly preferred

  • Can build and maintain relationships with local office management and collaborate effectively with various groups virtually and in person.

  • Be able to adapt to rapidly changing situations and prioritize workload as demands accordingly.

  • Proficient in reading, speaking, and translating business Spanish into English.

  • Must have a valid Passport. 

  • Required to travel as needed to support multiple international offices.

  • Bilingual Business Spanish Translator (Preferred)
