Responsibilities
  • Supervises and coordinates the on-site construction activities for assigned projects to ensure Brandon Homes' high quality standard
  • Utilize Brandon Homes' construction documents and procedures within BuilderTrend, completing homes accurately to meet or exceed our benchmark standard of quality and timing
  • Monitors the completion of each construction phase through coordination, scheduling, and inspection of each home
  • Acts as liaisons between operations, subcontractors, and vendors; supervises and monitors work of subcontractors; provides follow up to ensure completion of work and accurate, timely deliveries
  • Reviews, on a daily basis, the production of homes via inspections during various construction phases to ensure quality control; monitors progress including delivery and use of materials, supplies, tools, machinery, equipment and vehicles
  • Reviews and analyzes site plans and blueprints in order to monitor and ensure compliance with plan specifications
  • Conducts pre-construction and pre-settlement meetings with home buyer; resolves customer service issues and production problems during construction phase to maintain customer satisfaction; completes finishing and warranty work as required
  • Assists in the control of production costs through review and approval of time sheets, production and service invoices, delivery, and inspection sheets
  • Confers with appropriate individuals to monitor and track costs to avoid overruns
  • Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required
  • The Field Manager will serve as the primary contact for trade partners, customers, and internal associates for each home they are overseeing
  • Monitors the completion of each construction phase through coordination, scheduling and inspection of each home
  • Quickly and proficiently use real data to evaluate a problem and solve it within the organization's policies and procedures
  • Approach your day in a systematic and orderly way

Skill Requirement
  • Construction IQ, able to understand the essence of codes and accepted building practices and scrutinize specific situations to make the best decisions
  • Technologically savvy, able to use internal project management, budgeting, and other software
  • Problem Solving capable, able to assess and devise solutions for complex problems
  • Time management skills, able to prioritize multiple competing priorities executing in order of priority
  • Acute attention to detail and commitment to delivering the Brandon Home standard
  • Independent contributor, able to produce with little guidance and oversight need
  • Effective communication, able to effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders to achieve objectives
  • Budget mindfulness and understanding

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional construction project management experience
  • Ability to manage trade performance.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes
  • Working knowledge of residential mechanicals
  • Thorough understanding of operating hand tools (e.g., power hand tools, etc.)
  • Within reasonable commuting distance to Dayton
  • (Preferred, not required) Bachelor's degree in construction or related field
  • Current Driver's License
  • Drug Testing and Credit Check are required
  • Able to lift at least 75 pounds in daily execution of job
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States, as Brandon Homes does not provide visa sponsorships
