What you will do

Under general direction, the Master Planner applies broad knowledge of manufacturing operations and production control techniques in the preparation of production plans consistent with Marketing forecasts and plant capabilities, analyzes the adequacy of tooling at plants to meet projected volume and mix, and is integrally involved in all phases of capacity planning for the Americas. The Master Planner also provides advice and recommendations as appropriate to assist the Business Unit Director, Supply & Inventory Planning in carrying out assigned responsibilities.

How you will do it

• Create implementation action plans for advancements in production scheduling and inventory control techniques throughout the Americas.


• Analyze and direct the movement of finished goods inventories to help control customer delinquencies and over-aged product.


• Assist and make recommendations to Business Unit Director, Supply & Inventory Planning in making territory adjustments based on changing customer requirements.


• Analyze the adequacy of tooling and equipment to meet desired volume mix requirements and recommend corrective action as required throughout the Americas.


• Develop master production plan on a monthly basis to ensure capacity matches sales forecast.  Alert management to critical areas to ensure manning, materials, tooling, and equipment are aligned throughout Americas.


• Develop the annual base plan, which is used to drive the budgeting process throughout the Americas.


• Plan and implement product line changes and new product introduction to include identifying obsolete material and subsequent costs. 

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree required or 10 years of relevant supply chain experience in lieu of degree.


• Minimum of 6 years of production, inventory control, and/or or supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred

• Manufacturing experience


• Master Planning/Scheduling experience is a plus.
