About the Role

Inspire Access is seeking a dynamic Student Intern for Summer 2024! This role is tailored for individuals who are eager to dive deep into the nonprofit sector, particularly focusing on marketing, development, and media. This is a 10-week, flexible 20 - 40 hours per week role operating between the hours of 9 AM to 5 PM.

Inspire Access is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to close the gender and racial investment gap by mobilizing philanthropic dollars to fund companies led by female and diverse founders who have historically lacked investment capital.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position is a proactive, curious learner who is passionate about marketing, research, and social equity. You should possess a keen interest in the fields of philanthropy, impact investing, and reducing barriers for underrepresented founders.

Your Responsibilities

As an Intern, you will:
  • Support the development and implementation of the organization's marketing and media strategies.
  • Create engaging graphics and content for various digital platforms, including the organization's website and social media.
  • Conduct extensive issue-based research and collect resources using news and data to inform content creation.
  • Attend webinars and forums focused on Donor Advised Funds, philanthropy, and challenges faced by women and BIPOC founders, synthesizing and providing key takeaways to the team.
  • Assist in prospecting and research related to grants and foundational support.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.

Your Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program related to Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration or a similar field.
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Capability to conduct comprehensive research and present findings effectively.
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with content creation tools are a plus.
