Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer will utilize his/her's knowledge of manufacturing and welding processes to increase efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct studies to determine corrective measures
- Plan, organize and implement procedures and systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency, safety and quality
- Asses the production process to determine optimal work flow and product consistency
- Implement Lean concepts throughout the manufacturing process to include, 5S, Visual Work, Kanban, etc.
- Work with Human Resources to create a technical training program for production employees
- Ensure both new product introductions and changes to current products are properly communicated to all parties
- Coordinate with various departments for technical information needed for projects
- Identify and manage equipment improvements related to capital budget
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering experience
- Experience with welding processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, ProE, Inventor or SolidWorks
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
