As the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement activities across our Durham, NC site. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives to optimize costs, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services. You will lead a team of procurement professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support our business objectives.

The Director of Procurement will have these responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development
• Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and growth plans
• Establish strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing while maintaining quality standards
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including regulatory, manufacturing, R&D, finance, and legal teams, to align procurement activities with business needs and requirements
• Prepare and present regular reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, providing insights into procurement performance, cost savings, and other relevant metrics

The Director of Procurement has the following qualifications:
• Master's or Bachelor's Degree w/ 9-12 years of supply chain management experience
• 4+ years of people management experience
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management, with the ability to negotiate complex agreements and manage supplier relationships effectively
• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and industry best practices related to procurement and supply chain management
