Job Description:

Blizzard Animation, which crafts the cinematics that breathe life into the various Blizzard franchises, is seeking a self-motivated, experienced, diligent Senior Technical Producer to join the team. This producer will work with our engineers, TD's and leadership to ensure that team goals are identified, achieved and implemented. They will primarily focus on project scheduling and resource management in Jira.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

This is a full-time position.

What You Bring to the Table

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Build project schedules and actively produce multiple technical projects at a time, focusing on critical path projects


• Partner with production to coordinate testing efforts throughout the year


• Lead project team meetings, including information gathering, preparation, and dissemination


• Work with senior managers to develop and disseminate team roadmaps


• Help wrangle team events, conferences, quarterly newsletter, and similar departmental support


• Be an advocate for the Technology team


• Assist tech leadership with any misc. support as needed


• Monitor and report on bid time versus actual time spent on projects, providing detailed analytics to optimize production efficiency and resource allocation


• Utilize Jira extensively for project management, focusing on task distribution and progress tracking to meet production deadlines


• Collaborate closely with Senior Managers and Production teams to define project priorities and align production schedules with business objectives

Minimum Requirements
Experience

• 5+ years' experience as a producer or project manager in the entertainment or tech industry


• Experience with documentation software (Confluence, Excel)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in Jira project management tool


• Strong technical proficiency and ability to communicate about highly technical subjects


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


• Ability to build, track, and maintain project schedules at both a granular and high level while driving project momentum forward

• Persistent self-motivation and initiative; hardworking "can-do" demeanor


• Very well organized and able to navigate tradeoffs among scope, time, and resources


• Effectively partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and priorities

• Experience in animation production for TV, feature film, or games


• Autodek Shotgrid production tracking experience


• Experience with CG and VFX software, pipelines, workflows, and processes


• Knowledge and passion for Blizzard games, franchises, and expanded universes


• Experience with Structure for Jira

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
