Slalom Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Leader to join our Technology Enablement team to act as a technology consultant and advisor to clients. In this role, you will also meet with and evaluate client business opportunities and help craft best-fit technology solutions. We are open to hiring at Senior Consultant or Principal-level, based on candidate experience.



What You'll Do




  • Developing High-Quality Solutions: Utilize your advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, and security to develop innovative, high-quality technology solutions. Communicate technical details effectively, focusing on both custom software development and system integration.


  • Executing Technical Projects: Take responsibility for the technical outcomes of projects involving cloud, security, and custom software development, striving for excellence throughout the software development lifecycle. Apply best practices in cloud architecture, security, and software development.


  • Innovating Technical Solutions: Lead the design of technical strategies that highlight secure, efficient cloud solutions. Develop leading-edge tools such as accelerators and reference architectures, ensuring they adhere to cloud-native practices and architectural standards.


  • Supporting Business Growth: Identify and capitalize on new technological opportunities to advance expertise in cloud solutions, DevOps, cybersecurity, and custom software development. Contribute to technical sales efforts by developing solutions tailored to complex client requirements and integrating feedback.


  • Optimizing Project Efficiency: Improve resource use and project efficiency across your work in cloud, security, and software development. Manage and refine technical and operational metrics to increase efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Collaborating and Problem Solving: Foster a collaborative environment that encourages problem-solving and innovative thinking. Participate actively in setting and achieving team goals and support initiatives that drive project success.


  • Fostering Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous learning and adaptation to diverse team dynamics. Share insights and technical expertise to encourage ongoing development and innovation within the team.


  • Supporting Technical Development: Engage with team members to align their technical skills with project and organizational needs. Provide technical guidance and feedback, helping to clarify roles and responsibilities and supporting professional growth within the team.


What You'll Bring




  • Cloud and Full-Stack Development Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience required in developing full-stack applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Candidates must be able to set up a basic CI/CD pipeline and enable fundamental security measures. Demonstrated expertise in designing, optimizing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient systems.


  • Advanced Programming Skills: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in custom application development is required, with proficiency in full-stack development. Candidates must possess advanced programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python or equivalent and be capable of supporting robust application development and system optimization.


  • Project Leadership and Management: Minimum of 2 years leading complex projects and teams, with proven skills in effective project management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement. Candidates should have a strong track record of delivering complex projects successfully and mentoring junior engineers.


  • Communication and Collaboration: Minimum of 2 years employing communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and work productively within cross-functional teams.

Compensation and Benefits



Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $120,000 to $186,000 for Senior Consultant, and $133,000 to $206,000 for Principal. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
