About the Role

AUTEC seeks a HR Generalist & Administrative Assistant who will support talent acquisition, human resource activities, and administrative activities across our organization. This role will support a diverse range of positions and functions. This role is responsible for candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, employee onboarding, HR administration, payroll administration, and administrative support for the company.

We are looking for someone who is ready to help an established company transition into its next growth phase. Success in the role means having the ability to multi-task and execute at a high level daily. This person will be a highly motivated, organized, and polished professional, with the ability to select, recruit, onboard, and support the talent of the organization through various HR functions. This person will be able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity.

Responsibilities

HR Responsibilities
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans (medical, 401(k), etc.)
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Perform biweekly payroll processing
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics; i.e. time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Organize employee performance review process
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic (Paycor) and paper form
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits, and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations

Recruitment Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the talent recruitment and acquisition processes for a high-turnover manufacturing environment
  • Conduct first round interviews for all suitable candidates, providing an assessment and candidate recommendation for the hiring manager
  • Manage the candidate experience through efficient process management and professional communication, supporting interview scheduling where required
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system (Paycor) to actively track, manage and report on candidate pipelines
  • Identify quality candidates through the proactive sourcing of active and passive candidates via direct channels, job postings, employee referrals, social media, web sourcing, and networking
  • Articulate AUTEC's values, mission, passion, and career growth opportunities
  • Prepare and present job offers to candidates to secure employment commitments
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist visitors in a friendly, professional manner
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a pleasant, courteous manner
  • Complete administrative duties, including scheduling conference rooms, checking & distributing mail, coordinating meeting activities, accepting deliveries, and various clerical duties as assigned
  • Provide administrative support to the general and administrative teams as assigned
  • Order, maintain, and distribute office materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills & qualifications:
  • 1 - 3 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist with recruiting experience
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures with the ability to be resourceful to research and assess information as needed
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • BS/BA in business administration or relevant field a plus
  • Additional HR training or certifications a plus
