Duties:
Maintain in accordance with current regulations, rules and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Completes preventative maintenance on equipment as required, keeps accurate record keeping of maintenance performed.
Responds in a timely manner to maintenance requests by other staff members or residents and their families for needed repair in their rooms or other locations of the building.
Performs testing or when appropriate contracts testing of facility maintenance equipment or, including fire alarms, smoke detectors, exit door alarms and exit lighting, nurse call system and emergency generator.
Available to take call and report to work for emergency situations during off hours.
Under the supervision of the Administrator, understands the Life Safety and Environment portion of survey and interacts professionally with surveyors during inspection process.
Acts calmly and efficiently in handling emergency situations.
Attends and participates productively at staff meetings, and in-services.
Qualification Requirements:
Handyman/
Jack of All Trades skillset
HVAC experience
Plumbing experience
Electrical experience
Familiar with DHEC regulations
Experience with maintenance in Long Term Care/ healthcare facility is preferred
A desire to provide high-quality service and make a difference for our residents
Willingness to take initiative
Flexibility for a flexible schedule
Customer service experience as there will be interaction with families
The primary purpose of your job position is to maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.
